Ignite -08 Youth Crusade Comes to Andrews
September 13-14 at 6:30pm
Baer Ridge Mall Concert Pavilion
Ignite-08 is a series of planned youth events across North Carolina featuring Clayton King as the main speaker. Clayton King speaks to over 200,000 people annually on college campuses for FCA, InterVarsity, BSU, and Campus Crusade for Christ. He also speaks at numerous national youth conferences, camps, and retreats, as well as dozens of youth rallies and churches of different denominations. Audiences of all ages respond to his honest and clear style of sharing the Gospel as well as his warm personality and quick sense of humor. Clayton King is the President of Crossroads Worldwide and also the Founder. He began preaching in 1988 at the age of 14 and started Crossroads in 1995 at the age of 22. He has traveled in 45 states and 23 countries. He is considered one the most dynamic and effective youth speakers of today.
Leading worship will be Carl Cartee. For more than a decade, Carl Cartee has been writing, recording and leading worship all over the world, impacting believers in a variety of cultures, all for the stated purpose of fellowshipping with the Father. That purpose is borne out in the 11 songs of his debut national release, Unfailing.
Local Band Leap of Faith from Waynesville will do pre session music starting at 6:05 each night. The hope is for this crusade to be the largest gathering of youth ever in the Cherokee and Clay county areas. Churches across denominational lines from Robinsville, Andrews, Murphy, Hiwassee Dam, Hayesville, and many areas in between have worked together to sponsor this event. He is MY KING

My King was born King. The Bible says He’s a Seven Way King. He’s the King of the Jews – that’s a racial King. He’s the King of Israel – that’s a National King. He’s the King of righteousness. He’s the King of the ages. He’s the King of Heaven. He’s the King of glory. He’s the King of kings and He is the Lord of lords. Now that’s my King. Well I wonder if you know Him. Do you know Him? Don’t try to mislead me. Do you know my King? David said the Heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament show His handiwork. My King is the only one whom there are no means of measure can define His limitless love. No far seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of His shore of supplies. No barriers can hinder Him from pouring out His blessing. Well, well, He’s enduringly strong. He’s entirely sincere. He’s eternally steadfast. He’s immortally graceful. He’s imperially powerful. He’s impartially merciful. That’s my King. He’s God’s Son. He’s the sinner’s saviour. He’s the centrepiece of civilization. He stands alone in Himself. He’s august. He’s unique. He’s unparalleled. He’s unprecedented. He’s supreme. He’s pre-eminent. Well, He’s the loftiest idea in literature. He’s the highest personality in philosophy. He’s the supreme problem in high criticism. He’s the fundamental doctrine of proved theology. He’s the carnal necessity of spiritual religion. That’s my King. He’s the miracle of the age. He’s the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him. Well, He’s the only one able to supply all of our needs simultaneously. He supplies strength for the weak. He’s available for the tempted and the tried. He sympathizes and He saves. He’s strong God and He guides. He heals the sick. He cleanses the lepers. He forgives sinners. He discharged debtors. He delivers the captives. He defends the feeble. He blesses the young. He serves the unfortunate. He regards the aged. He rewards the diligent and He beautifies the meek. Do you know Him? Well, my King is the key of knowledge. He’s the wellspring of wisdom. He’s the doorway of deliverance. He’s the pathway of peace. He’s the roadway of righteousness. He’s the highway of holiness. He’s the gateway of glory. He’s the master of the mighty. He’s the captain of the conquerors. He’s the head of the heroes. He’s the leader of the legislatures. He’s the overseer of the overcomers. He’s the governor of governors. He’s the prince of princes. He’s the King of kings and He’s the Lord of lords. That’s my King. Yeah. Yeah. That’s my King. My King, yeah. His office is manifold. I’m coming to tell you, the heavens of heavens cannot contain Him, let alone a man explaining Him. You can’t get Him out of your mind. You can’t get Him off of your hands. You can’t outlive Him and you can’t live without Him. Well, Pharisees couldn’t stand Him, but they found out they couldn’t stop Him. Pilot couldn’t find any fault in Him. The witnesses couldn’t get their testimonies to agree. Herod couldn’t kill Him. Death couldn’t handle Him and the grave couldn’t hold Him. That’s my King. Yeah. He always has been and He always will be. I’m talking about He had no predecessor and He’ll have no successor. There was nobody before Him and there’ll be nobody after Him. Youth Crusade to be held in Cherokee County
Below is an email sent to me.
To ALL Preachers, Youth Directors, Youth Groups
My name is Casey Holloway and I am with Marble Springs Baptist Church in Marble, NC just outside of Andrews and Murphy NC. I am emailing everyone today to let you in on a very exciting event coming to Cherokee County (NC) in September of this year. The event is called Ignite 08. This is an event that I myself believe you will not want your churches to miss out on. Some of the top names in the ministry is going to be on hand to give speeches, to entertain through music and drama, and much more. The event is a non-denominational one so everyone is invited. The entertainers reach all the way from special entertainer Carl Cartee (http://www.carlcartee.com ), the singing group and worship leaders Leap of Faith, performing artist group 3-D, and world renowned Youth Evangelist Clayton King ( http://claytonking.com ). This event started in Maggie Valley, NC a few years back and is growing unbelievably. One of the last Ignite 08 meeting was held at Mars Hill College at the beginning of this year, and the turn out was just amazing. They had over 1,500 youth, young adults, and adults in attendance at the event, and the greatest news, over 1,000 decisions to know Christ as their savior so far this year! After viewing the video go down through the comments left on the video and just see what the kids said about the crusade.
We are extremely excited about this event!! As of now we have around 10 churches I think working on this event to make it happen! Churches from every denomination!! It is amazing to see churches working together to show the love of Jesus Christ and the love of our young people in this small county!! We need more help though, from what we are being told right now, we should be expecting over 2,000 people at the event here in Andrews. We are being told that people from the other crusade are already planning on coming to this one as well. Our Pastor has been receiving calls from as far away as the middle of the state on youth groups from churches there coming to the event. We need help on ever level that you can think of. I myself am on the advertisement committee and as of right now, there are only 2 of us. We are looking at advertisement being the most expensive and time consuming part of getting this event going. We are going to be getting Clayton King into all the schools that we possibly can here in Cherokee County and also the neighboring counties and further if we can. There will be people needed to go and get the schools involved to have him come and speak. I know that a lot of you are saying that that might be an impossible effort, but it isn’t. The link that I sent you from Clayton’s website will tell you what he speaks in the schools about. Just click on BOOK and scroll down till you find the header “Topics for Public School Assemblies and Civic Events” and that will tell you all that he talks about in the meetings at the schools. God has already been at work in this event. We were having a problem of where we were going to host this event to where we can hold 2,000 or more, and the day after our first meeting on this event, we had the place. Bear Ridge Mall Concert Hall!! FOR FREE!!!! The Andrews Fire Dept. is also going to be directing traffic for the event at no cost!! GOD wants this to happen, you can see that through the things that have already taken place! We have other committees as well that need help!! So everyone that we can get on board for this will be awesome.
I had someone ask me the other day why in the world are we even doing this in Cherokee County!! They said that the county is FAR beyond the help of anyone or anything. That this will never change the problems that plague this county or the state or the country!! So I just told them, no community is ever too far off from the power and heeling of our Lord Jesus Christ!! With attitudes like that, we will never have resolutions to the sins and problems that have infested the world. I said that there is all the power in prayer. God can heel anyone for anything!! The reason for this event is to bring Jesus Christ back into the hearts and lives of our young people, and well everyone!! This event is to lift up and praise the Lord Jesus, to give him all the glory and praise.
If you are not going to be able to attend the event or will not be able to help in the planning and think that you wished there was something that you could do to help us out on this. There is!! PRAYER!!!! We can use all the prayers that we can get. Everything is about prayer, and lifting up the Lord Jesus Christ. Please pray for us and the lives that we will be touching through this event.
If you and your church want to get involved in the event and join a committee, we hold a meeting on the first Monday of every month. The next meeting is this coming Monday, 07, 2008 in the sanctuary here at Marble Springs Baptist Church at 7:00 PM! ( if you need direction on coming, you can go to our website, which will let you mapquest the directions, www.marblespringschurch.org. ) If you would like to get involved and are not able to make it to the meetings you can let me know and I can get you info packets to hand out, the shirts, and fliers so that you can distribute them where you live. Also, if you watched the video from above, we will be having a similar video being brought to us Monday night, I can also make copies of that and send to you so that you can get those out as well.
